Grace and peace to all of you!
As promised, here are some suggestions for you to worship while we are not gathering in our sanctuaries. I hope you will find these spiritually uplifting, a word of hope, strength and wisdom in these times. Please find attached a written worship for use at home. This service can be completed completely offline. It also includes additional online resources for those who have the capability and wish to make use of them. This first service is adapted from a service provided by Rev. Elizabeth Cunningham, Stouffville United Church.
Below, you will find an invitation for The Moderator of The United Church, Rev. Richard Bott. I do hope you will make use of his wonderful offer and terrific liturgical gifts.
You will also find a list of churches providing online worship. There are so many wonderful options and churches who are already good at this, so Lakefield and Young’s Point United are not considering live streaming at this time.
Online Worship with Moderator Richard Bott Beginning Sunday, March 22, 2020, Moderator Richard Bott will be offering an online worship service each Sunday for the duration of the COVID-19 outbreak. This will be a video-recorded service you can join on our website or Facebook page. The prayers, hymns, and reflections from the Moderator’s online worship will also be available in audio and text form. If you would like to participate in the live version of this worship service, please join on Zoom, Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. PDT, 7:00 p.m. EDT, 8:30 p.m. in Newfoundland. You’re welcome to turn your camera on (but leave your microphone off), and open up the chat box. The recorded version of this is what will be shared on Sundays.
